Flux-cored welding wire is also called powder-cored welding wire and tubular welding wire. Flux cored wire can be used for welding carbon steel, low alloy structural steel, heat resistant steel, high tensile steel, high strength quenched and tempered steel, stainless steel and hard-faced wear-resistant steel.
Flux-cored wire is a promising new type of welding material
Advantages:
1) For the welding of various steels, it is extremely convenient and easy to adjust the composition and proportion of the flux (general-purpose flux-cored wires often call additives as flux cores, and the term flux only appears in specific flux-cored wires). The required weld chemistry can be supplied.
2) The process performance is good, and the welding seam is beautifully formed. The gas-slag joint protection is used to obtain a good shape. Add arc stabilizer to stabilize the arc and make the droplet transfer evenly.
3) Fast deposition speed and high production efficiency Under the same welding current, the flux-cored wire has high current density and fast melting speed. Its deposition rate is about 85%-90%, and the productivity is about 3-5 times higher than that of electrode arc welding.
4) All-position welding can be performed with larger welding current.
