Automobile Cylinder Block Castings are made by melting metal into a liquid that meets certain requirements and pouring it into the casting mold. After cooling and solidifying and cleaning, the casting with a predetermined shape, size and performance is obtained. The casting blanks are nearly formed, so that no or little machining is required, reducing costs and time to a certain extent.

Manufacturing Process
1. Raw material. The first step is the preparation.
2. Melting. Melting the raw material.
3. Dumping. The molten metal is transferred from the furnace to the ladle. The ladle then pours the molten metal into the blast chamber ready to be injected into the clamped die. The molten metal is then pressed into the mold with very high pressure. The high pressure then holds the metal in the mold until it has time to solidify.
4. Die Casting. After the molten metal has been injected into the mold, it must have time to solidify and cool. During this time, the mold cannot be loosened. Once the metal has cooled completely, it takes on the final shape of the casting.
5. Trimming. The next step in the die casting process is trimming. As the metal cools, excess metal in the gates and runners must be removed along with any issued fluting. This extra material is then trimmed away from the final casting. The trimmed gates, runners, and fleeces can be recycled and reused during the die casting process.
6. Quality Inspection. Each part will be thoroughly inspected by our quality control department.

Q3. Is it Necessary to Wash or Shot Blast Die Castings Prior to Application of Any Plating or Coating?
A: Yes, it is necessary. The appearance, adhesion, and acceptance of the finished article depend primarily on a sound foundation for the final finish, which is achieved only with an active and clean substrate. To ensure quality parts, a properly designed pre-plating process is a must.

A: For tooling/mold cost, 50% as a deposit and the balance paid after samples approved by customer. For bulk order, 30% as a deposit and the balance paid after negotiation.
