Successful Biomass Fluidized Bed Experiment

Recently, the industrial trial of the two-stage gasification technology of biomass fluidized bed with an annual capacity of 10000 tons, jointly developed by Jinan Huangtai Gas Furnace Co., Ltd., Jinan Haiyao New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., and Professor Xu Guangwen's team from Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, was successfully completed.

It utilizes a fluidized bed reactor to achieve decoupling and reconstruction of fuel pyrolysis and semi coke gasification/tar cracking reactions, forming a complete cycle of "catalysis" and "regeneration" of biomass semi coke (as shown in Figure 1). In the fast fluidized bed reactor, the synergistic effects of biomass tar thermal cracking, oxidative cracking, and high-temperature semi coke catalytic cracking promote the deep removal of tar in the reaction system, achieving the technical goal of biomass gasification to produce low tar gas or synthesis gas. Utilizing the technological advantages of efficient transfer and reaction in fluidized bed reactors, innovative biomass gasification technology has unique adaptability to high moisture and low calorific value biomass fuels.
